I've been on a mission for the last few days: to find a diaper that can keep my boy dry enough to sleep through the night. So far, we've tried Wal*Mart's brand, Luv's - and I recently decided to pick up a package of Pampers to see if they work well.
I do have to say though, the Pampers are the biggest waste of money I've spent. I figured it couldn't hurt to try them - they are more expensive, and they seem to be one of the preferred brands of diaper and wipes (by the way, I do love their wipes). They're very, very soft to the touch, inside and out. They look like they had a nice big pad of absorbent liner - but therein is the deception. I swear, he pees once in those things, and they're full and making him feel wet, meaning he has to be changed more often. And when he wakes up after a mere two and a half hours after a night feeding, it's clear that these diapers just aren't going to do the trick.

Live and learn, and then get Luv's
I'm starting to wonder if Huggie's will prove to be any better. So far for absorbency, Luv's tops out.
